UPRISING, the Musical
WCFP’s theater branch, established through its partner, Uprising Entertainment, Inc., has developed a first-class musical theater production, entitled "Uprising - The Musical."
It combines the most powerful elements of cinema, theater, and the rock concert, appealing to a much wider target group than any of these media could achieve individually.
"Uprising - The Musical" is a new innovative form of Broadway musical. This multi-media event will feature spectacular dance performance scenes, hit songs, and state-of-the-art technology in sets, sounds, and special effects.
"Indiana Jones" meets "West Side Story" against a primitive jungle setting, in a gripping mystical action-adventure/love story. A native tribe is being pushed farther and farther off their land by a major corporation which is systematically clear-cutting the forest.
The music from the show will stand on its own, as hit-oriented pop songs and radio-friendly production, combining pounding tribal percussion with driving dance grooves, as well as memorable ballads.
