The Road-Studio Across America
One night -- about three in the morning -- music producer Klay Shroedel got a phone call from his long-term engineer-friend Pete Code, who was then just about to go on tour. Klay asked Pete what his plans were after the tour... "I dunno", Pete replied, "It’s always been my dream getting a 40› RV, outfitting it with a recording studio and traveling across America. I think it would be cool to travel the nation, from city to city, finding some real undiscovered musical artists or bands and recording them... I might just do that".
Klay thought for a second -- and a big ol’ light bulb came on in his head. "Excuse me Pete, but that’s a brilliant %^&$#@ idea", he responded, "Why don’t we film it too -- and make it a contest -- and turn it into a TV series." This late night brainstorm has been upgraded into The Road Studio - Across America. Pete’s RV is now a tour bus, outfitted with the latest ProTools software and hardware. Each week we visit a different city, find musicians and bands, record them, and get into their lives -- uncensored... just like Pete thought, but a whole lot more.
